Volkswagen South Africa is offering entrepreneurs the opportunity to grow their businesses in the automotive and manufacturing sector.

Themba Mtati and his partner have seen their business grow since joining the Comprehensive Enterprise and Supplier Development programme at the Volkswagen Business Support Centre in Uitenhage. Today, they are working towards supplying one of the largest automotive companies in the world. “The programme covers virtually every aspect of running a business, from finance and costing and admin and compliance to personal development, which has helped guide us to be better entrepreneurs,” says Themba Mtati co-founder of Yenza Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd.

Volkswagen South Africa, in partnership with Raizcorp, is excited to announce a business growth opportunity for small black-owned businesses, just like Yenza Manufacturing, in the automotive and manufacturing sector. The programme will provide qualifying businesses with access to entrepreneurial learning, business Guides and infrastructure, to name a few.

Businesses offering the following services are encouraged to apply:

  • Plastic injection moulding
  • Painting of exterior motor car parts(i.e. door handles, mirrors, fuel flaps)
  • Steel fabrication & stamping
  • Steel packaging services
  • Automotive components
  • Engineering, electrical, plumbing

In order to be considered for an opportunity like this, you must:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be based in Uitenhage, Port Elizabeth or Despatch
  • Have a business that is 51% or more black owned
  • Have a minimum monthly turnover of R10 000
  • Be a South African citizen
  • Have access to transport
