Raizcorp’s Inspire Studios division is looking for a producer / director to join our team.
Job purpose
The Producer / Director is responsible for providing the leadership and management for all Inspire Studios operations while driving the overall growth of the business with a strong service-oriented focus. The Inspire Studio client base includes all companies, divisions, departments, and subsidiaries within the Raizcorp Group of companies as well as new markets external to the Raizcorp ecosystem. The Producer / Director deeply understands and has mastered every step of the production process and possesses the technical capabilities to ensure the highest quality production while being critically sensitive to cost, time and deliverables required at all times.

Key responsibilities
The Producer / Director key responsibilities include:
Managing, leading, and driving the growth of Inspire Studios as a service provider to all its clients, namely Raizcorp departments, divisions, companies and new markets:
- The Producer / Director is an effortless communicator with the ability to draw out all clientsā vision and objectives.
- The Producer / Director is responsible for generating new sales within new markets
- Responsible for closing deals.
- Creating a detailed production project plan that includes timelines, resource requirements, costing / budget, etc.
- Developing, drafting, reviewing, finalising, and assisting with completion of scripts as and when projects require same.
- Managing high levels of complexity and detail in the execution of all production projects across the board and ensuring exceptional quality / end-user satisfaction.
- Keeping track of and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Managing all projects end-to-end in a seamless, efficient and diligent manner.
- Producing content for all Inspire Studio clients.
- Directing of content for all Inspire Studios clients:
- Interpreting the clientās vision (and producer where appropriate) for the project / screen.
- Co-ordinating the various components of the production process so as to produce the desired end product.
- The Producer / Director is required to have a constant focus on story, emotion, textures, and triggers.
- Getting the best out of set resources and talent in order to deliver best possible quality results.
- Managing executive producers / sponsors and their demands.
- Videography and photography:
- The Producer / Director must ensure optimal usage of light, lighting techniques and light manipulation in all videography and photography.
- The Producer / Director is responsible for optimal framing, composition, and depth (lens / focal length selection).
- The Producer / Director is responsible for optimal audio capture, acoustic treatment, and general audio for all productions.
- Managing all sets and locations and all its moving parts.
- The Producer / Director is required to have a meticulous eye for detail and ensuring that all videography and photography is flawless.
- Managing on-screen talent and unearthing the best results from all talent.
- Creative problem solving and pro-active initiative to resolve issues and delays on set.
- Video editing:
- The Producer / Director must always edit for the viewer.
- The Producer / Director is required to tell a story through editing ā overreliance on transitions, graphics, and overlays to be avoided.
- Voice editing:
- The Producer / Director is required to ensure the optimal story, emotion, textures and triggers are employed in voice editing.
- Ensuring correct audio capture and acoustic treatment used during voice editing.
- Ensuring the correct set-up of all audio equipment.
- Lighting:
- The Producer / Director must ensure optimal usage of light, lighting techniques and light manipulation in all videography and photography.
- Testing lighting equipment pre-filming to ensure high quality lighting during all takes.
- Troubleshooting lighting issues.
- Managing and controlling all components of the lighting set up.
- Sound:
- Ensuring the correct set-up of all audio equipment.
- Testing audio equipment pre-filming to ensure high quality audio recording.
- Troubleshooting audio issues.
- Managing and controlling all components of the audio set up.
- Live casting to various social media platforms:
- Understanding and driving appropriate Go LIVE opportunities on Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social media platforms.
- Ensuring each event is captured from all angles, feels fresh and modern and gives audiences amazing social media experiences.
- Creating and managing pre-produced and live on-screen graphics.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Responsible for basic to intermediate title animation.
- Generating, creating, amending, budgeting, and updating costing for content.
- Collaborate with Marketing Manager and Raizcorp CEO on all projects.

Job Specification
Skills, Competencies and Minimum Criteria
- Five years proven work experience as a producer / director
- Strong communicator able to fluently and convincingly communicate with clients, talent, employees, and service providers in an effortless and efficient manner
- Proven sales ability with track record of strong customer relationships
- Proven ability to interpret customer needs and package a product that delights customer expectations
- Proven ability to run multiple projects concurrently that are complex in nature
- Strong understanding of and experience in lighting, lighting techniques and light manipulation
- A strong understanding of and experience in framing, composition, and focal depth
- Sound previous experience in using the Sony camera system
- Experienced in using a multi-cam switcher system
- Experience using Davinci Resolve Studio 16/17/18
- Ability to set up a mobile XLR based studio audio kit
- Basic to intermediate motion graphics ability
- Solid experience in talent management and bringing the best out of talent on screen
- Solid experience in pre-production with a proven track record in client engagement, sales, planning and project preparation
- Strong experience in the production phase with a proven track record in time management, location management, staff management and problem solving
- Strong experience in the post-production phase with the proven ability to tell a good story, high attention to detail and high empathetic end media consumer disposition
- Experienced in social media broadcasting to platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint)
- A valid driverās license with own reliable transport is a non-negotiable for this role
