Mining industry sales executive
What are we looking for?
Raizcorp is looking for a highly experienced, professional and intelligent salesperson to sell a variety of B-BBEE solution products to specifically targeted mining and engineering companies in South Africa. This role is ideal for any serious salesperson who has experience in the mining industry and who wants to create great impact with their products and solutions while simultaneously building their own intrapreneurial business within our sales team.
You must be strong at developing and generating your own new business within the mining and engineering industries. Your role will focus specifically on growing our client base in these industries. As we walk a journey with clients, relationship selling and the ability to forge strong business relationships is vital. Your product offering will see corporates achieve stronger B-BBEE scores and help them implement better strategies and implement valuable Social Labour Plans (SLPs). You do not have to be experienced in the B-BBEE scorecard as we will provide intensive training. However, you do need to be able to learn, grow and develop in this new field.
The salary consists of a strong basic and commission on all sales (including a renewal or annuity commission when existing clients recontract with us). You will also be provided with detailed industry training and development, a laptop computer and fuel reimbursement. We’re only looking for serious and professional salespeople.
What does this role do?
In this role, you will partner with corporate clients and help them create a B-BBEE solution that optimises their B-BBEE strategy and sees them obtain optimal verification ratings. This is achieved primarily through selling enterprise and supplier development programmes focused on the entrepreneurial market. Once you have secured the business, a separate team will drive the onboarding of entrepreneurs on to these programmes. You will only be involved in the sales component of the work.
The role is intensively focused on new business development and new client acquisition. To this end, you must be experienced in corporate business development. An existing network or strong networking capability is essential.
What experience is preferred?
You must have current business-to-business solutions sales experience and you must have worked with mining and engineering businesses. We are not looking for product sales professionals; you must have strong hands-on customer service or solutions sales experience. We’re also looking for people with a pattern of success and loyalty – job hoppers will not be considered. Your own vehicle and valid driver’s licence are also critical.

- A degree or diploma in sales or commerce
- Minimum 5 years of experience in boardroom or B2B sales in the mining industry
- You must currently be in a corporate solution sales role
